Good to see you made it back without falling off a fourteener to a grisly death and having your mangled corpse eaten by wolverines. (Do they even have wolverines in Colorado? Do wolverines actually eat mangled corpses? I have no idea.)
Nice picture. I'm not sure I've ever seen a picture of Thomas Pynchon (somehow he never entered my mind at the same time as the words "Google image search"). My favorite novel of his is Gravity's Rainbow, primarily because it's the only one I've read so far. I loved it...need to add others to the old Amazon wish list.
I think there are only four or five pictures of Thomas Pynchon that are known to exist. The one I chose (and most of the others) are from his high school yearbook. He takes privacy to an entirely new level.
Gravity's Rainbow was a good one, but I still prefer V. It's my favorite book and I try to re-read it every few years.
(Thank you for being glad I'm not dead. I took a lot of pictures on my trip and I'll post them in the next few days.)
